Through the Child Marriage Free India Campaign, Seva engaged grassroots communities, religious leaders, and influencers to challe-nge deeply ingrained cultural norms and customs.
The campaign began with workshops and awareness drives that shed light on the harmful physical, emotional, and mental impacts of child marriage. Collaborating with schools and educational institut-ions, Seva emphasized the role of education as a powerful tool in combating this issue.

By valuing education and advocating for their right to choose their future, these communities set a new standard, inspiring a collective commitment to ending child marriage.

Child Marriage Free India Campaign Event
The campaign event was conducted in the Shahapur and Murbad blocks of Thane district, covering 450 villages in collaboration with the Department of Women and Child Development (DWCD), Integrated Child Development Services (ICDS), and local police departments. Notifications were issued by the District Magistrate of Thane to support the initiative.
Campaign highlights :
● Awareness Sessions: We organized awareness sessions in all 450 villages to address the critical issue of child marriage.
● Chitra Rath : A specially decorated vehicle, known as Chitra Rath, adorned with banners highlighting child marriage issues, was used to engage the community and raise awareness.
● Government Engagement: During the campaign, we met with numerous government officials and provided them with briefings about our initiative.
