But this day also asks a difficult question: 

What about those who never had the choice to work?

Across India, thousands of children are still pushed into labour—not by choice, but by circumstance. This Labour Day, it’s time to look beyond celebration and focus on transformation—from child labour to skilled workforce.

The Hidden Reality of Child Labour in India 

Childhood should be about learning, growth, and dreams.  Yet, for many children, it becomes about survival.

Instead of classrooms, they find themselves in:

• Construction sites 
• Small factories 
• Roadside stalls 
• Domestic work environments 

These children often work long hours in unsafe conditions, missing out on education and opportunities that could shape their future.
